On the other hand, West Marine store clerks are pretty aware of the nature of the Skedaddle/Dragonfly/Lagoon kayak! Each time I show interest in the display, and especially when I bought mine, a clerk has said: "Where are you planning to use this? It's particularly good for sheltered lakes." The clerks have been careful to give good advice about local places well-suited to this small kayak, and to caution me against heading out into wind and currents on open places nearby. The website master should have updated the weight listing to that of the Lagoon, which is heavier because of the twin main chamber as well as the deck lifts. The "19 pounds" you saw on the website is old content that hasn't been updated. The models changed from the then-current Dragonfly, to the Dragonfly XC and now to a Lagoon in West Marine colours. I've been looking at them since I bought one four years ago. The West Marine store in my city in Canada sells several "Skedaddle" kayaks every year.
